JL&GB is a national Jewish Youth Organisation catering for boys & girls aged 8 - 18, based in King David Primary School on a Monday night (during school term time) between 18:45 and 20:30.
There are a range of activities for all ages including drama, dancing, art, cookery, sport and drill.
JL&GB was first established nationally in 1895 and in Liverpool in 1897. The object is to train its members in loyalty, honour, discipline and self respect so that they shall become worthy and useful citizens and a credit to the Country and Community.
There are units in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff and a number throughout London with many national events throughout the year providing opportunities for the members to meet and mix with other Jewish children from all over the country.
