Harold House is a membership only club and here are a list of some of the Community Centre activities that you are entitled to with your membership fee

Liverpool Jewish Community Centre Restaurant
The restaurant within in Harold House is open every Thursday and Sunday (excluding festivals) between 6pm and 10pm to get your home-cooked haimesha food.
Call 0151-475-5825 to reserve a table or for takeaway phone the restaurant after 1,oclock on a Sunday or Thursday.
Reservations can also be made via the office during the day time.

Programmes on Offer at Harold House 2007-08
Here are some of the new programmes that will be on offer from September... more details will follow. Give it a go and try something new.

  • Ron Colwell: Harmonise body and mind with martial arts master, Ronnie Colwell. Gain discipline, self-confidence, a sense of personal security and self-awareness. (weekly or bi-weekly)
  • Cheder MATT, Yeshiva and Midrasha: Boost your child(ren)'s yiddishkeit by enrolling in interactive, fun and interesting discussions and arts/crafts in these weekly programmes.
  • Reading Enrichment: Help your child(ren) to read Hebrew like a pro in these bi-weekly, informal booster lessons.
  • Film and Food: Watch quality films that you never knew were so "Jewish"l. . . and have a good fress as well. . . . (weekly)
  • Savloy Sundays: Fed up of feeding your kids on a Sunday evening? Let Harold House sort them out! (monthly)
  • Programme for Pros: Discussion group for young professionals. Any topics open for debate or discussion. Contemporary Halachic issues, faith issues, Jewish identity issues? Come check this out! (weekly)
  • Inters: "Inters" provides for body and soul. Play a variety of games like football and dodge-ball and participate in group discussions of the many issues Jews face in the 21st Century. (weekly)
  • Get Chai with the Rabbi: Everybody enjoys a bit of a "life-injection". Informal evening with food and scintillating discussion. (bi-monthly)
  • Kiddush Klub: Monthly Friday Night Club for the young 'uns. Children will learn traditional Shabbat Zemirot and have a bit of chicken soup, as well.
  • Youth Minyan: Run your own Minyan on your own terms. Monthly Shabbat morning service with a special Kiddush.
  • Children's Service: Monthly children's service with interactive programmes on the weekly Sidra, basic davening and children's Kiddush.
  • Art Club: Express your (Jewish) self! With the guidance of Joan Pollack, our resident professional artist, your child(ren) will be able to explore and express his/her Judaism through a variety of artistic media. (weekly)
  • Alef-bet Shiur: Learn about the mystical dynamism of the Hebrew alphabet and see it as you never have before! NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY! (weekly)
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah Club: Learning is fun! These are not your run-of-the-mill bar/bat mitzvah lessons. Your child(ren) will get ready for this very important milestone in Jewish life through a wide variety of activities and lessons to help him/her solidify his/her Jewish identity at this crucial age. (weekly)
