Limmud (Hebrew for learning) is a global leader in innovative, inclusive Jewish education. Founded over 25 years ago, Limmud is famed for the annual winter Conference attracting over 2,000 participants as well as the regional Day Limmuds and the LimmudFest.
Limmud provides high quality, innovative Jewish educational events for thousands of Jews from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all lifestyles, and all ages.
More than 500 people attended Liverpool's first Day Limmud event at Hope University on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May 2008.
The presenters included: Gottfried Wagner, great grandson of the composer, Liverpool Riverside's popular MP Louise Ellman, Clive Lawton, former Headteacher of King David High School and Roger Lyons, former President of the Trades Union Congress.
A hugely successful youth programme also kept some 50 children aged 4-16 entertained throughout the day.
Plans are underway for the next Day Limmud in Liverpool within the next two years.
