The UJIA supports inspiring Jewish education and communal development programmes in the UK and Israel and nurtures the eternal relationship between the people of Israel and UK Jewry.
UJIA believes that the sustainability of the Jewish People and Jewish Life depends on active interventions and engagement and the recognition of the interdependence between Jewish communities in the Diaspora and the people of Israel.
If we want to engage actively in sustaining Jewish Life here in the United Kingdom then we must recognise that Israel is central to that engagement.
Our activities in the UK and Israel are united by the clarity of our vision of Jewish life flourishing and a clear strategy of how to achieve that vision.
Our programme-focused approach ensures that we keep UJIA's strategic aims in sight and we constantly monitor and evaluate our programmes to make sure they generate significant impact and provide "value-for-money" to the charity and the Jewish community.
Our work in Israel is concentrated in our partner region, the Galil in Northern Israel, designated a national priority region for development by the Israeli government. UJIA is determined to help break the cycle of poverty there and build successful and confident communities.
In the UK, UJIA invests in young people through a spectrum of dynamic social and educational activities, creating an environment in which they can explore their sense of identity and cultivate their connection with Judaism and Israel. We train teachers, rabbis and lay leaders to perpetuate the skills and knowledge that allow the Jewish community to flourish.
By pledging your support, together we can build successful, confident communities in which today's Jews and future generations experience the vital pulse of Jewish life.
