The Merseyside Jewish Women's Welfare Society is a committed group of women volunteers from all walks of life in the local community. We offer regular visits to members of our community, work closely with Merseyside Jewish Community Care's Social Workers and meet regularly to allocate funds, which help local Jewish people deal with diffucult times in their lives. Strict confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Committee meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month.
However, if you do not have enough time to become a Committee Member, you could support your community by becoming one of our “befrienders” who visit people in their homes, or by sending us a donation to continue our work.
With your help, women in the Jewish community can reduce their loneliness and isolation, enjoy the companionship of someone who cares about them and look forward to much-needed social visits or trips on a regular basis.
